For some reasons Fresh Broccoli makes me happy and glad…that green freshness, the perfect flowering..
Ingredients
Broccoli – 15- 20 Florets – Wash and steam in Microwave for roughly 2-3 mins
Crushed Pepper – 3-4 Tsp
Oil – 4 Tbsp
Olive Oil -1 Tsp (for seasoning)
Lemon Juice – 2-3 Tbsp
Cheese – 2 Tbsp (grated)
Salt to taste
Method for Preparation – (Cooking Time – 15-20mins) – Serves – 3-4
- Marinate steamed Broccoli floret with 2tsp of pepper and Lemon juice (for 2 hours before cooking)
- In a deep non stick wok, put oil and add remaining pepper fry for a min
- Add marinated Broccoli and salt and cook on slow flame for 10 mins with a lid
- Now cook it without lid for 4-5mins and add 1 tsp of olive oil and give it a quick stir
- Place it on a serving dish and sprinkle the grated cheese
This one is sure to please kids and adults alike. When making it for kids you want to add couple of tsp of cream to the marinate and reduce the pepper by 1 tbsp. Shared here is a recent try with bell pepper and corn as additional ingredients…ENJOY!!!
